To ensure your visitors safety, the Emergency Mode feature provides preventative measures via real time mobile communications.
In order to enable emergency mode, follow the steps below:
Login to your ZAP IN account. To login, click here.
From the left side panel, click on the Gear icon, then click on a specific building to show the workbench.
Hover your cursor over Building and click on Emergency Mode.
Please note: Enabling a single building emergency mode, will set that single building on Emergency Status when an emergency is activated.
To enable All Building emergency mode, highlight All and then enable All-buildings Emergency Mode under the Shared Settings Menu. When All-Building Emergency Mode is used, activating an emergency in one building will also activate an emergency across all your other buildings as well (ie: a school campus with many buildings). Then follow the emergency set up instructions below for each individual building.
4. Click on the slide icon to enable emergency mode for that specific building
5. Choose File to upload an image of the floor plans for the selected building
6. Customize the Subject line for your emergency evacuation notification
7. Add appropriate instructions in the Text box
8. Rewrite the body of the SMS Text to add any additional information (If necessary)
9. Click Save to enable your emergency mode instructions.
10. Click Add to enter the name, email and mobile phone number of any person that will need access to the Roll Call list and will also get the Emergency Incident Report at the conclusion of the emergency.

Activating Emergency Mode via Dashboard
In order to quickly activate an emergency via the ZAP IN dashboard, follow the steps below:
Login to your ZAP IN account. To login, click here.
From the left side panel, click on a specific building and then click on the screen icon.
Click on “IN CASE OF EMERGENCY” button.
4. Select the appropriate instruction choice, Actual Emergency or Test Drill and confirm by clicking “ACTIVATE NOW!”
5. Activating Emergency Mode will cause the icon of the building (on the sidebar) to become a flashing RED alarm icon. After activating Emergency Mode, your iPad screen will fill with an emergency alert. Click "View for nearest exit" for your evacuation protocol to be displayed.
6. Click on the row containing visitor information to expand their information into a pop-up card
7. To change the visitor’s status manually, click on Mark as Safe
8. Click on CONTACT to instantly get in contact with the visitor

Visitors must provide their phone numbers during sign-in to be contacted during an Emergency (Make it mandatory for your visitors to provide a phone number during sign-in to ensure reliable safety contacting)
How to Exit Emergency Mode
In order to exit Emergency Mode, follow the instructions below:
Click on the underlined text that reads Exit Emergency Mode
A confirmation text box will appear - click OK to exit Emergency Mode.
3. The page will navigate back to the dashboard & a new text box will pop up outlining brief details of the emergency.
A more detailed emergency report will be sent to the assigned emails.
